Sacramento Irish Sessions

Since I moved here in early 2003, there are now a number of traditional Irish-style sessions here in the Sacramento area. A few of them are detailed here. Please come join us at one (or all) of the sessions, and if you can't make it but want to add your name to our mailing list, click HERE to send us an email.

Fox & Goose Public House

This downtown Sacramento session has been there since April 2004, and takes place on the third Wednesday of the month (yes it used to be the last Tuesday...Management changed it recently). F&G have decent pub fare, making dinner a reasonable option, and all ages are welcome! This session is hosted by Linda Relph (myself).

To get there: From I-5, go east onto Hwy 50, exit 10th Street, go north (right) on 10th, and F&G will be on the right side at R Street. For more, here is a link to the Fox & Goose website.               (top of page)

Delta of Venus

This weekly session is in Davis, at a favourite student hangout. They have wonderful Jamaican cuisine, and serve beer & wine. The session is hosted by Bob Wren, one of the area's greatest musicians and teachers.

Latitudes Bar

This weekly session in Auburn is a popular one among those who live in the northeast Sacramento area: Auburn, Roseville, Citrus Heights, even Grass Valley and Nevada City. deVere's Pub

This in the area's newest session, hosted by members of Nine-8ths Irish. deVere's opened in February 2009, and has a great menu, whiskey selection, and beautiful location and interior.
